Evo is a much better fit than my old Pioneer . LS2 says the Pioneer Evo is a “ long oval ” shape , though I would call my melon more “ round ”, and the helmet is still a great fit , very comfortable and functional . The foam and liner material is softer and more comfortable against my skin than the previous model , making this helmet truly all day comfortable . The chin-strap is of the quick release type , so easy to put on and off . The comfort lining is removable and washable , hypoallergenic and wicking to keep you comfortable in the heat . It ’ s pretty light for an adventure helmet , coming in at a quoted 1300g .
ANTI-FOG The clear visor the Pioneer Evo comes with is Pinlock ready , although it doesn ’ t appear to come with a Pinlock insert in the box . I opted for a tinted visor for my Evo , and installed the Whites Super Clear Anti-fog insert , which was reasonably easy to install . Because it does not cover the whole inside of the visor , I can see the part that isn ’ t covered fogging up in my peripheral vision - in the most wet / humid conditions . The central part of the visor has not fogged up once . It ’ s possibly the best anti-fog liner I ’ ve used with any helmet .
