PRODUCT REVIEW
I wore this helmet and anti-fog combo during the 330km of gravel and tarmac at the GS Rallye NZ recently , where conditions were overcast and dry most of the time . It performed brilliantly . I had the helmet on for a solid eight hours , I even wore my standard glasses inside the helmet expecting them to cause some discomfort , or fog up ... but nothing . No fog on the glasses , no fog on the visor , and the helmet was 100 % comfortable . I am impressed . My top tip for installing the anti-fog visor is to take your time and follow the instructions , don ’ t just blaze in . It can be a little tricky , but once you get it in , you ’ ll be in heaven . There is loads of ventilation on the LS2 Pioneer Evo , though comparing the Evo with its predecessor side-by-side , I can ’ t see much difference between the models . The new EVO comes with a large chin curtain , which reduces the wind inside the helmet greatly and improves the experience , making this a helmet I could happily commute in daily . The peak doesn ’ t seem to catch as much wind as the previous model either , the old one used to catch the wind and jerk my head up at highway speeds enough to be annoying . It also comes with a drop-down sun visor . Coming in at $ 260 for the black , and $ 290 for the colour versions , this is a good option for an adventure helmet that won ’ t break the bank .
