Winning two! And it was one hell of a‘ present’ for his 19th birthday as well. Cole Davies was on the podium when his mum could be heard yelling‘ Happy Birthday Cole’. Adding the Pro AMA Motocross 250 title to his newly minted AMA SX crown, the young gun has had a stunning season and is keen for more. The previous round saw Davies go from a point in arrears to a 14-point lead in the finale and with his closest rival, Levi Kitchen having a howler in the first moto, Cole had the crown with a race in hand. The last race was pretty much just Cole taking it all in. Sure, he finished top ten but wasn’ t passing, was keeping out of the way of guys racing each other for their season and looked to be a fast-moving spectator out there on the iconic Ironman circuit in front of the biggest crowd the event has ever seen. Congratulations Cole Davies!
