HARLEY ADDS SPICE TO LOW RIDER ST

In the age old Harley-Davidson tradition , the Motor Co is giving one of its latest models the extra spicy treatment with the creation of the limited edition Low Rider ST El Diablo . Harley first debuted the ST variant of the Low Rider earlier this year , with the ST gaining a touring friendly fairing and the monstrous 117cu in Milwaukee-Eight engine straight out of the gate . In a nod to an American West Coast custom styling trend , the Low Rider El Diablo combines the performance and sport-touring versatility of the Low Rider ST with a stunning panelled hand applied paint scheme and a Rockford Fosgate powered audio system . “ The Low Rider El Diablo is a modern expression of the iconic 1983 Harley-Davidson FXRT and a representation of the creative times it was born in ,” said Brad Richards , H-D ’ s Vice President of Design and Creative Director . “ It embodies the spirit of counterculture in Southern California in the ‘ 80s in a contemporary package that features meticulously crafted custom paint , including pinstripe trajectories that nod directly to those of the original FXRT .” Harley says the idea for the Low Rider El Diablo was to create a model to take style and the company ’ s idea of sport touring performance to an extreme . Looking at it , they ’ ve certainly achieved that goal . The Low Rider El Diablo combines the touring capability of hard bags and a framemounted fairing with the taut handling performance of the Harley-Davidson Softail chassis and the V-Twin muscle of a Milwaukee- Eight 117 powertrain . Global production of the model will be limited to a one-time build of 1500 serialised examples , scheduled to reach authorised Harley-Davidson dealers in Spring 2022 , with a Recommended Ride Away Price of $ 42,750 .
