CFMOTO UNVEILS 800 SPORT NAKED

Budget friendly CFMOTO has proven that it can bring buyers a lot of bang for their buck with its current range of mid-sized models , but there are certainly holes in the lineup that the brand will likely look to plug in the near future . The first cab off the rank looks set to be another LC8c powered model to join the recently released 800MT adventure tourer , with the first look of a parallel twin sportster with the unveiling of the NK-C22 concept at the company ’ s autumn strategy conference . CFMOTO has partnered with KTM since 2013 , so news of another model to utilise the LC8c parallel twin shouldn ’ t be a big surprise . What is surprising , however , is the styling direction of the NK-C22 concept which is far more European in design than previous offerings . While no official announcement was made regarding any future production derivatives , there an 800NK may be in the marque ’ s immediate future model plans .

The concept boasts contemporary features , including forged carbon fibre bodywork and trimmings , a racing-inspired SC-Project dualexhaust and a single-side swingarm . While the carbon fibre elements certainly look exciting , we doubt CFMOTO will depart from its cut price strategy to deliver such exotic materials in a production 800NK , however these could be introduced as accessory options . The conference concluded with Chen Zhiyong , General Manager of CFMOTO ’ s two-wheeled business , declaring that 2023 will be the “ Big Year ” of new products , with six petrol-powered and four electric motorcycles planned to be launched . Further details , including arrival timing , specifications , colours and pricing , will be announced closer to the launch of CFMOTO ’ s 2023 model range .
