HUSKY VITPILEN 801 & 901 EXPEDITION

Husqvarna ’ s sharp , edgy , Vitpilen ( White

Arrow ) roadster sees some big updates for the 2025 model year . At the heart of the new Vitpilen 801 is the DOHC , 799cc parallel-twin engine . Weighing in at just 52kg without oil , the motor punts out a very healthy peak power of 105hp at 9250rpm and a very healthy 87Nm of torque at 8000rpm . Service intervals are 15,000km . Husqvarna claims 180kg without fuel , so it should come in around 190.5kg with the 14-litre fuel tank brimmed . With the engine acting as a stressed member of the chromium-molybdenum steel frame , overall weight is kept to a minimum , for an agile but stable handling . Suspension comes via WP ’ s APEX suspension with 140mm of fork travel and 150mm at the back . Cast alloy 17-inch wheels come fitted with Michelin Road 6 tyres . State-of-the-art electronic rider aids add additional layers of customisation to the 801 . A choice of four ride modes alter the engine performance , with Street , Sport and Rain as pre-sets , with a customisable Dynamic mode . There ’ s an Easy Shift quick-shifter , cornering ABS , and cornering MTC ( traction control ) built in . 102 KIWI RIDER
Up front is a 5-inch TFT dashboard , featuring an optically bonded mineral glass display to help prevent glare . There ’ s a Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles app available for your smartphone which can provide Turn-by-Turn navigation , music playback selection and telephone call functions . Braking comes from J . Juan ( owned by Brembo ), Bosch provides switchable ABS ( in the optional Dynamic mode ) and there are 10 levels of lean-sensitive traction control adjustment . A slipper clutch ( PASC - Power Assist Slipper Clutch ) keeps the back wheel from locking under fast downchanges .
As always with Husqvarna ’ s Vitpilen range , the styling remains edgy and ultra urban-inspired and features a new Bi-LED projector lens headlight with a separate light ring to make sure your ride is one of the most aesthetically unique machines out there .
