With the best facilities of the four locations, the flush toilets, block of showers and the awesome Wool Shed make this place the most comfortable for those who find camping a little outside their comfort zone. The large rolling hills, vast grassy flats and stunning 360 degree views ensure you never want to stop riding. Topped off with NZ’ s biggest talent contest, Lochinvar’ s Got Talent, youngsters battle it out through song, dance and anything else they have a talent for, in the hopes of winning the greatest prize in talent history. For 2026, Lochinver will become our last camp of the year, making the talent quest the final showdown of the season and streaming live on Netflix( still to be confirmed …).
Kaukapakapa, Auckland The final camp of the season threw up a few curve balls in the form of consistent rain from Tuesday all the way through to Saturday morning. With campers arriving on Thursday
afternoon and riding on the wet and muddy Friday, the crew were super-busy with helping campers around the tracks, and changing courses to suit. Diversions were put in place, tracks were closed and changed, riders picked up off the ground and helped up slippery hills. It was a real character building first day on the bike for some. Thankfully, as Saturday broke, the sun came out and dried out the tracks by the end of the day. Sunday proved to be absolutely fantastic, with tacky tracks and possibly the best riding of the season to close out another massive year of Honda Kids Camps. For 2026, we swap in our Mapiu location for the Kaukapakapa property, and we are allowed to return to Lochinver yearly now, which is such a privilege.
