With over 20 years of family campouts on the books, the Honda-sponsored Kids Camps wrapped up this year’ s action with a visit to Kaukapakapa, in what began as some very testing wet and muddy conditions. Quite a stark contrast from where the season started back in January at Lake Rotoiti.

Lake Rotoiti, Rotorua Our flagship camp at Lake Rotoiti has kicked off the camp-out season for a fair while now and is a fan favourite with campers. The stunning camping locations nestled nicely in a valley, scoring plenty of sunshine, is blessed with private access to Lake Rotoiti, a mere five minute walk from the camp site. This is also our only four-day camp, meaning you can really settle into the camping experience and make the most of putting up that huge family tent. The weather played ball the whole weekend with some well-timed nighttime drizzle to help keep the dust to a minimum. Lake Rotoiti will be kicking the 2026 season off once again and is limited to 400 people.
Holly Farm, Marton Our most southerly camp sees a trip to Marton,

on the always welcoming Holly Farm. Run by exenduro champion Cam Smith, this sheep farm treats campers to smooth rolling hills that are perfect for opening the throttle and getting some speed on. The camping location is at the bottom of the farm and backs onto an MTB track which plenty of campers took advantage of throughout the weekend. Again, it was a great camp on the weather front, with sunscreen the order of the day. This is a camp that is a little bit of a sneaky secret among those who attend. Often described as the best camp of them all, the lower numbers make it great for riding and after-camp activities for everyone. Holly Farm is back again 2026 as stop number two of the season.
