PRODUCT REVIEW
that when the dispenser is half full , the display shows 50 %. Doug recently did a 3500km trip to the South Island , “ I filled the dispenser up before we left Rotorua and had a little left in the dispenser ( showing the last bar on the display ) when I got back . That was just a bit over 3500km from door to door , and I didn ’ t have to do anything to look after the chain each day other than up the dose if it was looking dry . The rest of the guys were having a two-man job lubing their chains every morning - one to lean the bike over and the other to spin the wheel and squirt the lube . Two other guys on the trip had to replace their chains while we were away due to accelerated chain wear - so I was pretty happy with that .”
THE $ 569 QUESTION After looking at the cheaper models in the range , Doug initially said he ’ d have a tough time deciding if he ’ d pay more for this unit or go with one of the cheaper ones , but after a year of use said , “ I came to the decision that I ’ d save a bit longer and get this one - I really appreciate having the display and being able to see when it ’ s oiling the chain . There ’ s an oil drip icon on the screen that has a cross through it when it ’ s not oiling . I like the fact it starts oiling when the bike pulls away , but stops when it ’ s at a standstill - even when the engine is running . There ’ s a lot of peace of mind there . “ I think it ’ s worth the money even when compared to the other cheaper models . The display shows if it ’ s oiling , the flow rate , the dispenser oil level and there ’ s an ambient temperature icon , and I can check all of this while riding . “ This is a great product , I can ’ t see a downside - it ’ s rare to get something that does what it ’ s meant to do , and do it well . I ’ ve not had to do
