GOOD BASTARD
MotoStrada Porto , a Portugese Indian
Motorcycle dealer , won the First 6 global Indian dealer build competition . Their entry , called ‘ Bastard ’ is inspired by the hugely popular Bagger Racing machines seen in the States . Performance suspension , carbon hydro flow paint and a selection of Indian genuine accessories were the base of the build . Layered up from there are intake and exhaust components that not only take the look to the next level but make the bike stand out from the crowd and go as well as it looks . Within the sportier look , the functionality has not been compromised , and the Bastard has full connectivity behind that fairing as well as wicked sounds from the Powerband speakers and stereo . The bikes were judged by Indian riders , so it will be great to see what Kiwis do with their Indians after seeing the competition play out in the global competition . We ’ re looking forward to seeing some Good Bastards of our own .
MARTIN ’ S MISERABLE START TO 2025
MotoGP World Champion Jorge Martin has had a torrid start to the year with not one but two injuries of late . Martin has been confirmed as a non-starter for the opening round of his title defence in Thailand . Martin suffered a complex fracture of the radius , some carpal bones on the left side and an ipsilateral calcaneal fracture during a training session . After a surgical consultation , it was decided to proceed with surgery to stabilise the fractures of the radius and the left scaphoid . Because of the complex nature of the injury , it is , at this stage , uncertain what the timeline will be from there , with Lorenzo Savadori stepping in as cover for at least the first round .
