Alberto Surra
injured list, although Lecuona was perhaps fortunate to escape unhurt after a fast crash towards the end of FP1. Sam Lowes, hoping to rebound from two, largely disastrous, rounds, crashed twice without injury, in practice.
QUALIFYING- A DUCATI AFFAIR Fastest lap in quali went to, you guessed it, Bulega with another blistering effort, edging Lecuona by nearly half a second. Rapidly improving rookie Alberto Surra, on the Motocorsa Ducati, put in third fastest lap, but subsequent relegation to the rear of the grid for Race One, resulting from an infringement under yellow-flag conditions, took a lot of the gloss away from that achievement. Sam Lowes would gain a spot and start on the front row because of this, although Surra would only suffer the penalty in Race One and would regain his front row position for Sunday’ s Sprint Race.
An all Ducati affair
