BREMBO HYCTION BRAKES FOR WSBK 2027

In an exciting twist to the rules, Brembo, as the exclusive brake supplier for the series, are introducing its new Hyction rotors. The coolest thing about the new technology in racing is Brembo’ s commitment to sharing the benefits from their racing development with road riders. This means the new thermally robust rotors will soon find their way into our hands, giving consistent and powerful braking no matter what the temperature is and how hard you brake. So, what is HyctionTM? Well, it goes like this. Although the actual ingredients are still in the secret squirrel realm, it is a departure from straight metal rotors of differing percentages of materials and introduces a ceramic carbon technology that avoids the need to use different discs at different circuits and dependant on temperature etc. The new Hyction rotors will simplify the task of the teams, give more consistent braking power and also tick the box of sustainability. And with Brembo’ s‘ Track to the Road’ philosophy, it looks likely to be the next big thing in motorcycle brake technology on the streets as well, so we win, metaphorically speaking.

ROYAL ENFIELD 350 HUNTER TOKYO BLACK

At $ 7590 plus on roads, the latest version of the LAMS legal Hunter 350 comes with a 3-year warranty and 3-year roadside assist as well as the blacked-out colourway. Using something like 3 litres to cover 100km, chilled out transport is looking very smart indeed. The smaller capacity market is doing well in the currently tough economic climate but don’ t think for an instant that there is no fun to be had while being frugal
