It was the talented Australian’ s maiden Moto2 win but he has been getting closer to it every round. With the entire field running the control Triumph 765cc engines, Moto2 always delivers great racing on the 140hp machines. At Silverstone though, that Pass Of The Agius was in fact a double-pass, slipping up the inside of two bikes with only one corner left to run. It was pre-calculated, planned and executed to absolute perfection. The riders he swept past looked as stunned as the teams in the pits, the commentators and the spectators. Agius described it as the best day of his life. Maybe we need to claim him as one of ours and leave the Pavlova to the Aussies …
