bend is a group of people and bikes on the roadside . A sure sign of the excrement making contact with the wind machine . As no one waved us down and no one was lying down and my random act of kindness had been performed for the day , we carried on , knowing that the story and the pictures would match the skid marks . Dinner did not disappoint with a prize-giving of sponsored products and finding out the puncture and the off belonged to the same bloke . Mario , our waiter and restaurant owner was a fan of Fawlty Towers ( and if you mix Basil with Manuel into one person you get Mario ).
After a police-less night at the camp , it was time to farewell everyone and head for Picton and lunch by the Marina before another bumpy crossing on the same ship but this time loading up the rear to later disembark out the front , to bow out of the ship . Many thanks to Dave Mcleod and all his crew , Tasman Pine , PF Olsen , private land owners , Tahunanui Motor Camp , Nelson MTB club , Nelson City Council and the Tasman District Council for a great riding festival . Would I go back next year ? Very much yes , and because it is a limited numbers ride , I recommend that if you get the chance don ’ t hesitate or you will miss out .
