4 Push the valve stem through the rim and wiggle your fingers inside to remove the tube .
5 Put a lever under the tyre bead that ’ s still in the wheel well and lever the tyre right off the rim , pushing down firmly with your knee once the bead is clear of the rim .

6 Clean the wheel , grease the axle and clean all mounting points .
7 Put the valve back in tube and inflate it until it is almost holding its shape . Put some baby powder in the new tyre , put the tube in the tyre and shake in more baby powder ( it ’ s an excellent dry lubricant ).
