strength and the ABS is well calibrated for road use ... on a smooth surface the front is just starting to lose grip when ABS intervenes . Ergonomically , I ’ d say the GSX-S is best suited to riders of the average height . Of course , that might seem a bloody stupid and obvious thing to say ... but , it ’ s not too bad for tall riders up until the 90-minute mark when stiffness starts to creep in and a coffee stop is required . For shorter riders the seat is still at a reasonable height , and it ’ s not all that light so care will be needed when slow speed manoeuvring . The seat itself is pretty comfortable .
THE BOTTOM LINE All in all , the Suzuki GSX-S1000 is an outstanding naked sports bike that punches well above its price point and , justly , puts some premium machines on notice that they should lift their game to justify the price differential . Suzuki has a reputation for producing wellengineered bikes at very reasonable price points . The GSX-S1000 is another machine that reinforces that reputation . One of the best engines the mid-2000s sports bike wars produced , slipped into a very capable naked sports chassis . There ’ s nothing not to like .
