When hard on the gas at speed the front can become a little light , but that has a lot more to do with engine power than any chassis issue . Also , without a screen the rider catches a lot of wind , contributing to the front lifting , especially so for tall riders . But that naked styling comes into its own when perched aboard and accelerating into the distance , the rider sees nothing but the road ahead - it really does feel like you ’ re being hurled into the future ! Suzuki has raised the bars a little and added 20mm in width to the fairly straight bars , which really is an asset when commanding the bike at pace . Overall , the chassis , handling and suspension action is excellent and a true credit to Suzuki that it achieves this level of performance at such a good price .
BRAKES AND ERGO ’ S I was surprised to see the twin front discs are only 310mm and not the common 320mm items on most serious sporting bikes . However , fear not , the brakes are plenty powerful , well aided by Brembo four-piston monobloc calipers . They have a mild initial braking response , but ramp up quickly and progressively into strong stoppers . The rear is a relatively simple 240mm disc with single piston floating Nissin caliper and is effective within the bounds of ABS . General stopping power is excellent in feel and
