with bright orange wheels , usual good upright position , a charming disposition , and a feeling of lightness and accuracy that belied early intentions . The dashboard while small is clear , compact and simple . The ride position gives good visibility and , although I was probably a bit tall for the bike , my knees snugged round the new tank material . It ’ s sheer chuck-ability was exceptional . With a short wheelbase it flicks into corners with simple ease , and that two-into-one provides a surprisingly meaty chorus when wringing its neck ; which you will almost certainly be taunted into . A LAMS bike with this energetic stop and go , whizz-bang fun and finish , and pretty too , for $ 12 , 299 . You ’ re joking right ? It ’ s no wonder KR ’ s Ray Heron was full of praise for his . Ok , what ’ s next ...?
MT-07 HIGH OUTPUT Riding behind the MT07 HO ( high output ), you ’ d be forgiven for thinking it was bigger . And it is - by about 34cc . It ’ s blacked out , looks meaner and fires up with a bark provided by a dark Akrapovic shorty . That sound is addictive and very pleasing to a carbon-happy biker , and this version has a little screen which is quite effective in flowing air overhead of the helmet . The 45km ’ s whizzed by and both of these lightweight offerings had remarkable agility with slightly wider bars making for happy grins in the tight . If you don ’ t have to buy the LAMS , why would you ? The increase in power is noticeable ; torquey , and the look and sound is funky too . The best part ? The difference is less than a grand , at $ 13,199 .
MT-09 Now , this is a bike I could own , superb
