COMMENT: Aprilia has launched its 2026 bike and team, and while many lament the passing of the smooth, organic lines of MotoGP machines pre-’ winglet’ era( ourselves included), there’ s definitely something industrial and purposeful in a machine evolved to do a very specific job- and in this case it’ s to go ridiculously quickly around a race track. And with laptimes predicted to slow by 1-2 seconds with the coming regulation changes, this could now be the very pinnacle of racing motorcycle design. Time will tell.
