out of the power if the rider isn ’ t shifting with perfect timing , but there are no such worries on the Beta 200 . The jetting is pretty sharp delivered as standard . Perhaps not quite perfect for those pedantic types , but I had no genuine issues . A serious racer could look at cleaning up the bottom end by leaning it out a tad on the pilot , but I ’ d just ride it . When the power-valve is open , this is a quick bike and can be ridden very quickly . There was a time when 200cc bikes were the choice to win NZ Enduro Champs on . Yamahas and Kawasakis did the business all over NZ and sold by the truck load . They suited our tight , wet riding and were more manageable for the smaller rider too . Having said that , it ’ s been a long time since a 200cc machine won an Enduro event outright . I believe events have got easier – Riverhead didn ’ t have bridges in the early days ... and larger machines have hugely improved rideability .
