Many of us enjoy the track, knowing full well that we suck, or at least are not going to win any national class but to be honest, that doesn’ t really matter. Being towards the back of the field, or even off the back – it is still miles ahead of those who don’ t do it at all … To the good folk who put the MotoFest Motorcycle Show’ 26 on, thanks for reinstating my faith in the game, much appreciated. Please, do it again next year. To those on the stalls and stands, representing the industry and what you have to offer, it was great to catch up and I reckon it will be even bigger next year, so see ya then. To the racers, it was fantastic to see some familiar faces out there and also a raft of new eager eyes behind the visors. Congrats to the winners and, every bit as importantly, the finishers after the season finale in Taupo after the MotoFest Motorcycle Show. I look forward to seeing the national champions out next season to defend their crowns and the new generation trying to wrest it from you, respectfully of course.
