few years ago I reviewed another pair of Triumph gloves - and they were a good pair of gloves . Warm , two different pockets for different warmth options and waterproof . My main criticism was the bulk of the wrist / gauntlet that made it really hard to get them under my jacket sleeve . I complained about it to the Triumph importer … and he agreed . So , when Triumph launched its new cold weather glove with much smaller wrists , designed to go under a jacket cuff , I was keen to get my hands into them . It ’ s a half leather , half fabric glove with two of the big names in the industry - Gore-tex waterproofing and Primaloft insulation . The leather covers the main abrasion points including palm , fingers and thumb ( with a stretch insert at the base of the thumb . There ’ s double leather on the outer of each palm running up to near the end of the little finger , and a knuckle protector on the top . Where most gloves have one lining , this has two - a soft fluffy one on the tops of the hands and fingers , with a more standard material on the palm side .
