a much-reduced steering lock , which is an unhelpful difference after the excellent lock on the DL . The suspension action feels firmer initially with greater compression and rebound damping . Obviously , the suspension travel from the 41mm conventional forks is less as it is not expected to do light off-road duties and the forks bottomed
after wheelies , but realistically for road work the suspension was up to the task ; comfortable , controlled and competent . The SV definitely has a more authoritative acceleration in the lower rev range and also a little more music for the ears to enjoy ( there may be a gearing difference between the bikes that I couldn ’ t find on the spec sheet ).
