rear shocks with preload adjustment . Wheel travel at both ends is 120mm . In the past the traditional components have offered traditional results ... poor . Happily , the action is very much improved from past efforts . The previous overly soft suspension that had little progression in damping now has quite a polished feel . The forks don ’ t crash dive when braking , the progressively wound shock springs aid a supple ride on minor bumps . Both ends are now quite progressive in action , firming up nicely as speed and bump sizes increase and generally offer a comfortable and secure ride . Yes , at my 100kg size the limits can be found , but , honestly , most riders should be more than happy . I don ’ t see the local suspension shop getting too much business . It took me a little while to gel with the fivespeed gearbox , not because it was poor shifting
