accessory range for the MT-07 . At the time of selling I had quite a lot of aftermarket kit installed . There was the set of Yamaha branded soft panniers , a Ventura EVO rear rack and pack , heated grips , a QuadLock phone mount , an Ogio screen , a Melotti racing tail tidy and crash protection . Further to this I had also addressed the bouncy forks , enlisting the help of suspension tuning guru Dave Moss . In fact , we created a video about it - you can watch that in the link below . Essentially , we shortened the fork spacers by 15mm , and over filled the fork oil by 30ml . This had an easily noticeable effect on how the bike handles . No longer was it bottoming out the forks during spirited riding and braking and there was a more
direct feel from the front end in terms of feedback . My MT-07s were trusty and reliable steeds for 40,000km of ownership . A year or so ago I completed a massive roadie from Wellington , up to Cambridge , down the Forgotten World Highway , a lap of Mt Taranaki and back home to Wellington . This was over the course of three days , and really my only complaint during all of that would be aimed at the suspension . It ’ s a basic setup and it would have been nice to be able to adjust the suspension to tweak the ride . Other than that , I rode it on my daily commute of 24km each way into central Wellington , which it just did with the odd clean and multiple sets of tyres . Although I get to ride quite a few
