THE MODS
initial bite of the clutch more learner friendly . However , it has proven to be a weakness with off road use and after overheating the clutch riding on Baylys Beach , I swapped it out for a CBR250R clutch pack with heavy duty springs . While slightly harder on the clutch lever , its still a 250cc bike so it ’ s not at all fatigue inducing .
WHAT ’ S NEXT Looking back , it really is a bit mental to be looking to pass Rosie the Rally on to a new owner . We ’ ve really made some incredible memories together . From the mountains in the South Island to the sand dunes of the Far North , this little bike has been the key that unlocked motorcycle adventures for me . Sadly , however , ‘ Rosie ’ the Rally simply doesn ’ t fit with the ownership of two small rapidly growing humans and a wife who is now ( finally !) showing interest in riding pillion . In fact , I can actually count on my hands the number of times I ’ ve been able to get out on it in 2023 . It seems life moves on in ways you can never predict , and , sadly , it looks like mine doesn ’ t have space for the trusty little Rally anymore . If you want to be its next caretaker , get in touch .
