PRODUCT REVIEW
house for a few days before using them out in the wild ...?) I thought they were going to be a bit sweaty , but that didn ’ t prove to be the case . I ’ ve been using these gloves for a couple of months now , from the cold and wet of Autumn into the heat of the start of summer . I have to say , I ’ m impressed . They ’ ve taken a little while to bed in , but have become my go-to glove . If it ’ s looking like shite weather , I ’ ll take them and a pair of big road gloves as back up , or if it ’ s looking average to hot , I ’ ll just take these . I used these for a three day ride from Rotorua to Martinborough for the GS Rallye back in November . Conditions covered everything from torrential rain to scorching sun . I had my trusty big Triumph gloves for the cold and torrential rain ( review on those to come next issue ) and these for everything else . My hands never got wet or cold , nor too sweaty . Really couldn ’ t complain , although I find that if my hands are sweaty they can be a little tricky to pull on as the lining grabs my hand a bit . The only other thing they don ’ t have is phone touchscreen compatibility , something I ’ d like to see .
I think the KTM ADV R gloves offer a decent compromise between a road glove and a dirt glove , covering the middle ground between a full winter road glove and a motocross glove . You get motocross type fit and control , but far more protection and the ability to wear them when it turns cold and wet - perfect for shoulder season and summer adventure riding or winter enduros . As my new go-to pair of gloves , they really do fit my needs like a ... you get the idea .
