fitted to previous models. Along with a lighter subframe comes a nifty new design for the air filter placement. The air filter is now even quicker and more fail-safe to change while in a hurry. And to finish off the chassis is the new design of self-clearing footpeg mounts which are higher than the MX models for better rut clearance. HANDLING PACKAGE WP has fitted the FE250 with 48mm XPLOR forks which are a totally new feature for 2017. The forks are an open cartridge layout with a spring in each circuit, but with split damping functions. Compression adjusts from the left side and rebound from the right. The clickers are on the top of each fork tube and preload can be adjusted without the use of tools, making it quicker and easier to adjust the set up of the bike at each event. The WP rear shock is also fully adjustable and matched to the linkage rear end, Husqvarna claims it’s 0.5kg lighter than before. Brembo brakes are fitted as before, but the rear brake lever is 10mm longer for better modulation. Classy ODI lock-on grips make changing grips easier as there’s no glue to worry about and the throttle grip comes as a complete unit. The cam shape can be changed to alter throttle progression to suit the rider. 54KIWI RIDER
