My routine would be to get home from school , straight into the garage , helmet on , jump on the motorbike and off over the riverbank to ride the local tracks , every day of the week . “ It wasn ’ t until much later on when I was twenty-something that I connected my passion for off road riding and adventure riding and started exploring further afield .”
What was your first adventure bike ? “ A Suzuki DRZ250 . I converted it into an adventure bike immediately after buying it and
that ’ s where adventure riding really kicked off for me . I did about 40,000km on it and it was brilliant . It got me to many different places and was light , reliable , and economical but I got to the point where I needed a bigger bike for those days where you get headwinds , or you ’ re loaded up with gear and just want to go a bit faster and overtake .”
What did you upgrade to ? “ After the 250 I spent the majority of my adventure riding on a Suzuki DRZ400 which was also a brilliant bike . I can ’ t knock it . It ’ s a
