How did you get into riding ? “ I was always keen on motorbikes and always hounded my father for a bike . Luckily he was very supportive as he was always out on trail bikes . The typical Swanndri and gumboots kinda stuff , out and about doing the hard yards , hunting , riding up rivers and through bush . “ He got me a Yamaha DT80 and as I got bigger and older I got more bikes . The week I turned 15 I booked to get my licence and onto a road bike .”
What happened then ? “ When I got my licence I got a road bike to get to and from school , which was about eight to ten kilometres away . All the other school kids were on the bus and I enjoyed that I could jump on the motorbike and have a bit of freedom , especially when I was a young fella living a bit out of town . “ I never really gelled with road riding like a true road rider does , my motorbike passion always gravitated to the off road stuff and I still had
