engine response throughout the rev range . I found I could ride most of the trails in third or fourth gear and there was a great deal of instant power from low rpm through to the high end . I figured the slightly longer bore and stroke ( both 72mm ) have a contributing factor in this . Playing around with the map switch on the bars , I found there was a noticeable difference in the engine ’ s feel and power delivery . I preferred the more aggressive map as it is similar to how my Beta 300 is with power valve wound right out and aftermarket CDI installed , giving that great hit of power when I want it . The aggressive map is like this out of the box . Coming back in from that first session , I went to fill up the bike with my quick fill container and found out I couldn ’ t use it easily as the tank has a shelf close to the top which stopped the container from going right down and opening , which was a negative for me on a racing front . The fuel tap is a bit tricky to get to as it ’ s down in the centre of the bike , above the carburetter , rather than on the side of the bike .
