power-valve on this one , just leaving it in the stock setting . This gave a great middle-ground for both slow technical riding and fast open riding . Weighing in at 103.4kg dry weight the 300 is light and gives a good power to weight ratio . It never felt like a big bike , which is something I appreciated . While riding in the trees I changed the map switch to Rain mode and it made it feel even more linear and I could predict how the bike was going to react a little more . The suspension on the 300 felt better than the RR200 , which I think comes down to the slightly stiffer spring that ’ s more suited to my weight . The negatives for me are that I wish Beta would include a bash guard to protect the linkage . As the RR300 is such a good machine for hard enduro , it would make sense . Some radiator braces would be icing on the cake . Otherwise , the Beta RR300 Enduro is a machine ready to tackle whatever comes its way , a super well-balanced bike .

SECOND OPINION - BETA RR300 ENDURO

For 2022 the Beta 300 was given some major engine changes , including a new cylinder , a new piston and a new power valve . The whole range also received a new clutch and new engine control unit map . All this makes for a bike that after only a few minutes of ride time makes you feel like there are no obstacles too hard to hit and will make even the toughest riding seem easy . The chassis allows for a balanced , precise ride and you can feel the company ’ s Italian trials roots are in there - it gives a playful , fun ride that any level of rider will appreciate . With loads of low-down torque and plenty of go up top , the 300 can be lugged along down low , keeping perfect traction in slippery conditions and when you need to get on the gas it absolutely flies .
