TRIUMPH FANS GET TO GRIPS WITH NEW TIGERS riumph launched and demo'd its 2018 Tiger range to both the press and keen Tiger fans alike at The Hunting Lodge winery near Auckland. Riders were treated to the chance to sample the new 1200 and 800 models, but it seemed the headline bike which most came to get a ride on was the 1200, which attracted a huge amount of attention. The Tiger range is big. Triumph New Zealand is bringing in eight models across the both the 1200 and 800 ranges. Triumph says there's a Tiger to suit everyone, and with a range covering so many bases, it would be difficult to argue with them. There are two lines in the both the 1200 72 KIWI RIDER and 800 ranges; the XC and XR. The XC is the rugged, spoked-wheel line that's for those who want to explore off the tar seal more often than not, while the XR is the more road- oriented touring machine with cast alloy wheels. Within each of the lines there are different equipment levels. Triumph NZ isn't brining in the base spec models, just the mid- and top- spec. This means for the XR models there's the mid-level XRx and top-spec XRt. In the XC line-up, there's the standard XCx and higher spec XCa. And both 1200 and 800 XRx models offer a low ride height version. Plenty of choices there.
