“We have taken this course of action with a great
deal of thought and, as a company, KTM AG would
be pleased and interested if show promoters,
EICMA in particular, would consider moving dates
to 2021, where we hope and expect the situation
to be settled and back to normal.”
In lieu of debuting new models and concepts in
front of the public, BMW Motorrad announced
it will follow a similar theme as we recently saw
88 KIWI RIDER
with the unveiling of the new R 18 cruiser, and will
move its planned world premieres and product
highlights that would have taken place at Intermot
and EICMA to alternative platforms in autumn
2020. Essentially taking the important first look at
2021 models online in their entirety.
With KTM making a similar move for the debut of
the 890 Duke R recently, we expect the Austrian
brand to follow suit with its 2021 offerings as well.
