BINDER BAGS A BEEMER
Brad Binder will be in the WSBK fray for 2027, joining the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WSBK Team alongside former MotoGP rider, Miguel Oliveira. After a pretty challenging and, to be blunt, disappointing time of late on the KTM in MotoGP, the talented South African is heading to new pastures. No doubt the rivalry with Jack Miller will start a new chapter as he has had a similar situation of late. We wait with bated breath to see how the recent arrivals from MotoGP do in the more production-based class. One thing is certain though, they will be there to win from lights out in the first race. Both riders have been out and about at tracks on different machinery and their recent lacklustre seasons are not considered to be a true reflection of their abilities, more the MotoGP world struggling to find parity between the bikes and which has or has not got the potential to challenge. Having the likes of the hard-charging Brad Binder in WSBK will be fantastic to watch and BMW has blown any doubts about its commitment to the class out the window. BMW has released a significantly upgraded
version of the M1000RR and it is way more than new stripes and a funky muffler. They are after the crown and are spending time and money to retake it. Good luck Mr Binder.
FIM INTERCONTINENTAL GAMES
Great to see Tyler King on the FIM Oceana squad list, racing in the Supersport 300 class as the current Australian Champion( well done) and in the motocross lineup we have Phoenix Van Dusschoten. A total of twelve riders will compete for the region in the games, to be held in Brazil in December. All six FIM Continents will be represented in the unique event.
