high on a cliff, serving fresh trout from their own ponds. Three generations of family were tending a trout farm, cooking meals, serving drinks and servicing two chalets with another on the way; an experience we were lucky to come across. From the next day’ s trail, we could look back across the valley and see where we had stayed, a speck some 7km away. We took a few more wrong turns passing through ruins and vast valleys. The final day saw us crossing a massive mountain just north of
Podgorica, a fitting finale to an unforgettable adventure across borders, cultures, and rugged terrain, as we wound down to civilisation and the hot Montenegrin weather, cars, trucks and vans. We hadn’ t missed them at all. Raytcho has started his tours, so is open for anyone wanting to experience Montenegro to join him for an experience of a lifetime. He can cater to all ages and skills.
