BOLT WINS EPIC TUSSLE
Husqvarna’ s hard man, Billy Bolt, had a duel with KTM’ s Mani Lettenbichler right to the bitter end at the Italian round of the FIM HEWC. The event was so tough that only Bolt and Lettenbichler managed to do 12 laps on
the second day. Third placed Mitch Brightmore( GASGAS) did eight and fourth and fifth places, James More( KTM) and Graham Jarvis( Husqvarna), finished after seven laps. In the battle for the win, it came down to not just the laps completed but the margin of Bolt’ s victory after more than two hours of battling the extreme course was four seconds. Exhausted after battling Mani, the British rider was more than happy with his concentration, knowing it was he who made the least mistakes would emerge victorious as the two were locked in a battle that showed nobody had an edge on pace and it was a case of riding fast and smart. The two combatants were on a level of their own as the technical terrain tore the field apart on a course that had sections that were doable … just. For Bolt it was made even sweeter by also having won the first day, completing a clean sweep of the weekend.
