OPTIONS FOR ALL ABILITIES Organisers had designed the course with two options throughout much of the ride: a standard“ main” route for riders wanting a more manageable day in the saddle, and separate“ challenge” sections for those looking for something tougher and more technical. Using GPX files either on your Garmin or Phone app, it worked brilliantly, giving riders the freedom to choose their own level of punishment. The challenge sections added a tougher option for more experienced riders, with steeper hills, muddier trails, and more technical terrain compared with the main gravel routes. Riders with proper knobby tyres could make the most of those sections, while the main route remained manageable and enjoyable
