CORMAC BUCHANAN BATTLES ON

It hasn’ t all been beer and skittles for Buchanan in the last couple of rounds. In fact he has had a tough time of late but remains undaunted and upbeat despite both rounds resulting in DNFs. Rather than feeling bad for himself, the likeable Southlander was more upset about‘ the walk of shame’ back to the pits and his hard working team. Even on the bad weekends, however, he has shown that on any track, he has good pace. Now a regular to making it into Q2, he knows the results will come and he is working hard on racing in a calm headspace. He is first to admit that he was making mistakes by pushing too hard. His latest DNF took him by surprise, high-siding when he didn’ t expect it. Stoic in the face of adversity, he has picked himself up like a champ and is already working hard to be in a good space for the next round and use the pace he has to get some solid points banked as the second half of the season sees the riders tackle more familiar ground than the Balaton Circuit in Hungary that saw a lot of DNFs across the classes with the super tight sections causing chaos. Onwards.
