Both in free practice and qualifying , the Lazio rider placed the Desmo450 MX at the top of the rankings , conquering the second pole position of the season after the one achieved in Mantua . With one round to go , Alessandro Lupino and the Desmo450 MX now lead the MX1 Italian Motocross Championship with a 338-point advantage , with 500 still to be assigned . The Castiglione del Lago race also allowed Ducati technicians to collect important data for the development of the Desmo450 MX , the motorbike that will go into production next year , marking the Borgo Panigale company ’ s entry into the off-road specialist segment . The final round of the MX1 Italian Motocross Championship is scheduled on October 12-13 in Arco di Trento .

HUSQVARNA GOES MX2 1-2 IN TURKEY

Championship season heading towards an exciting finale , the Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Team celebrated another remarkable podium lockout at the MXGP of Türkiye . With only two remaining rounds , Husqvarna ’ s Kay de Wolf and Lucas Coenen continue to dominate the standings , having amassed 14 Grand Prix wins this season .
While Kay de Wolf , the current MX2 championship leader and Red Plate holder , took the top step in Switzerland , Lucas Coenen stole the spotlight at Afyonkarahisar . Coenen converted a second-place qualifying result into a perfect 1-1 streak of victories on Sunday .
