PRADO MAINTAINS MXGP LEAD

Jorge Prado snatched his fifteenth podium in sixteen attempts in the sand of Arnhem at MXGP of The Netherlands , maintaining his lead in the overall standings . Winning the first moto , Jorge Prado led for sixteen of the eighteen laps en route to the top of the podium . The second moto was more of a fight – Prado started on the cusp of the top five and was locked in a thrilling battle , swapping positions before hitting the checkered flag in fourth . 1-4 scores put him in 2nd overall at the Dutch GP , increasing his podium tally to fifteen . Prado ’ s advantage at the top of the championship standings is now 92 points . “ This weekend was a tricky one . My rhythm was not quite right , but the first moto was good with a holeshot and win . I had a worse start in the second moto and was in a fight at the beginning before putting myself in a decent position . It was super tough , and I did not want to make a mistake . It was an okay weekend in the end ”, said Prado .
