SUZUKI SERIES PREPPED AND READY
This summer sees the 17th running of this popular race series and with 16 international riders from USA, Australia and Britain already entered, it has the most internationals since the heady days of the Marlboro Series in the 1970s. Making those racers work for every position will be the very best Kiwi riders, keen to keep national pride intact by showing the interlopers the way around Taupo, Manfeild and, last but not least, Whanganui. With loads of different classes included, there is a class for any racer and supporter as well as anyone with motorcycling in their bloodstream. Earlybird tickets are still available until the end of November by heading to www. cemeterycircuit. co. nz, so sort your summer entertainment now. One unique aspect of this long-running series is the traditional track rounds and then the big finale, Cemetery Circuit, raced around the streets and the old cemetery. This event is like no other. Fast, furious and with the crowd close to the action, it is carnival time in Whanganui. Defending his title from last year will be Mitch Rees, who has made his debut at the Isle Of Man and is soon racing in Macau. His natural speed and fast family genes will be tough to beat but there are a bunch of fine riders from both here and abroad that are keen to front up and give it a go. Will anyone be able to take the mantle? Head along, support the sport, and watch the action live.
