F-YEAH!
We’ ve been waiting to see this one.
Rumoured for a while, and the web has been saturated in digital guesses about what we would end up with but here it is … Honda’ s very cool retro CB1000F, and yep, it pays homage to the iconic CB900F, also known as the Bold’ Or( as well as the CB750F). With the 2017 Fireblade-derived engine tuned for more bottom and mid-range power, rather than shrieking top-end, the state of tune is different to the new Hornet( 91kW v 111kW). The power is further down the rev-counter as well, making its peak at 9000rpm, again, a full 2000 lower than the new Hornet but torque is almost identical at 103Nm( Hornet is 104Nm). Yet to arrive here, the Hornet SP is already making waves as a naked with attitude and performance to satisfy anyone on the streets. With the new F, Honda jumps into a hot market segment and when you launch a retro tribute, you better do it well or you will get nothing but flak. Obviously, as you can see from the photos, the team from Honda has nailed it. If you want to look like Fast Freddie Spencer or are looking for a glint of nostalgia, as well as a great pillion-friendly superbike, feast your eyes on the Honda
