Once I’ d got a few hours on it and pushed harder, the stock RC ODI bar height did feel a touch low for me when standing, though it was fine when seated. That’ s an easy tweak down the track. My only small gripe is the lack of grippy surface textures around the ankle area compared to some Euro brands, but overall the cockpit is neutral and confidence-inspiring.
POWER DELIVERY The Triumph motor has a unique character. It’ s smooth, linear and very usable with plenty of torque, but it doesn’ t deliver it in a scary way. I like that it doesn’ t‘ push’ me into corners like some other 450s— it just rolls in smoothly, making it easier to stay in control and hit those braking points. It also resists stalling really well, which makes it forgiving if you get a bit lazy with clutch work. For me, the midrange is the engine’ s sweet spot. I don’ t really find myself hanging out on top revs much; it’ ll go there, but it doesn’ t feel like that’ s where it wants to live. Engine break in is on the longer side( 5-6 hours) but once broken in and the motor loosens up, it became easier to ride in that low-to-mid zone. Of the ignition / fuelling maps, I’ m liking Map 2( the RC map). It gives a bit more pull down low and makes the midrange easier to reach,
