Back in 1997 Triumph released one of my favourite motorcycles ever made, the T595 Daytona, and the beautiful gold / yellow was the best colour. 30 years on Triumph has released another Daytona in a beautiful yellow coluorway with a full power 660 triple engine( as well as a LAMS version) and it sure does look slick. As a rider who’ s had a full bike licence for a few moons now, I find many of us fall in to a trap of“ oh well, I’ ve got my full licence, I need a litre bike” and, in most cases, you simply don’ t.
POWER PLAY This 660 full power Daytona pushes out a very healthy 95hp and the peak torque builds at around 3000rpm, making for a fun and usable motor. I’ m not going to lie … I wasn’ t expecting too much hopping on a smaller displacement bike, I felt it was just going to be a screamer that would wear me out with all the gearshifting.
