SUPERBIKE ADVOCATE / MGM OPTICAL DUCATI The mid-season charge by Tommy Bridewell on the Superbike Advocate’ s Ducati has faltered at the last few rounds with crashes and DNFs knocking him back after he seemed to have established himself as a regular top ten runner. Qualifying in 19th gave him too much to do in the races and 11th in Race Two was his only score of the weekend. Loris Baz deputising for MGM Optical Ducati’ s Taz Mackenzie qualified one place in front of Bridewell but couldn’ t convert that into scoring points in any of the three races.
STEPPING UP? In World Supersport, Albert Arenas clinched the 2026 title at Estoril on the Blue Cru YRF-R9 and is widely tipped to step up to Superbikes in 2027 on a second Marc VDS Ducati alongside Sam Lowes.
SEASON FINALE The final round of WorldSBK is at Jerez( October 16-18), which will be done by the time you read this, should be full of fireworks with most riders having something to prove.
