HOME VICTORY FOR TRIUMPH

Importantly for Triumph’ s newborn foray into the enduro world, the British brand has taken its home series. Triumph Factory Racing Enduro’ s Jamie McCanney went 1-2 in the final round, handing a pretty chuffed team the prestigious and local title. Second place went to Mikael Persson, also on a Triumph TF 250-E. Persson got the series off to a fantastic start, winning the first six rounds in a row but was ruled out with injury for the remainder of the season. Picking up the gauntlet, McCanney forged ahead with his consistent odium form, eventually surpassing his injured teammate for the title. The Triumph-ant duo were philosophical about the challenges of the season and were justifiable pleased to go 1-2 for the team. Persson is hoping to go one better next year but if he was going to concede the win to anyone, his mate was the man to do it.
