TOWNLEY 2ND IN 125 SUPERFINALE

oung Kiwi MX star Levi Townley blasted his

Y way through to 2nd place in the bLU cRU YZ125 SuperFinale race at Matterley Basin in the UK during the Motocross of Nations . Having won the 85cc Junior World Champion this year , Townley only stepped up to the 125cc class a couple of months ago , yet the 14-year-old is already making his presence felt in the 125cc class , despite it being on only his second race in the class . Leading out of the gate against a field of 35 international riders , Townley worked his way up to a 2.5 second lead , but fast charging Brit Jamie Keith caught him with seven minutes and two laps to go and managed to get past . It looked like it was all over with the older and bigger rider taking the lead , but Townley fought

back hard with incredibly tight racing for the remaining two laps to only just be pipped to the win on the line by 0.6 seconds . The pair crossed the line over 42 seconds ahead of third placed Jekabs Kublins .
