YAMAHA TÉNÉRÉ 700 WORLD RAID UPGRADE

Yamaha has thrown the whole box of tricks into the mix with the 2026 Ténéré 700 World Raid. No more throttle cables – it is flyby-wire( Y-CCT) and a six-axis IMU and all of the electronic goodness that that brings. It sports lean angle sensitive ABS, Traction Control and Slide Control, letting mere mortals ride like a pro and a pro ride like an alien. With engine maps for road and offroad, the new Ténéré 700 World Raid has all that wizardry available via easy to use function buttons. The new model also has a new seat, updated lighting and body panels, new fuel tanks, better suspension and a new dash. What remains is the proven chassis and although the CP2 engine is now Euro5 + compliant, it has lost no power, gained low-end torque and retains that lively and responsive feel.

For the sedate roads in between your adventures, it now has cruise control( yay!) and, just in time for the proliferation of new safety cameras( ahem) it has a speed limiter you can set as well. If you choose to ride sans electronics, you can still get that raw experience, again, it is all able to be tweaked and, if you wish, turned off completely, although you might want to see how good the electronics are offroad before snubbing the option. It may surprise you. With 23 litres of fuel capacity giving around 500km range, the new Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid is up for it. Are you?
