Royal Enfield has launched a new sub-brand of EV motorcycles under the banner Flying Flea . The European EICMA show was the launchpad for the revival of the famous name , used previously for the WWII model that was parachuted into action as a fast and nimble vehicle during that conflict . Developed in a deal with Stark Future , as in the high-tech off-road models already available , the bikes have a retro look but are bristling with new technology and see the famous marque take on the emerging market of urban EV . With over 200 patents already lodged for the new range , it sees Royal Enfield take a huge step into the developing market and marks a fresh start in a new category that Mario Alvisi , the Chief Growth Officer of Electric Vehicles for Royal Enfield , in itself a statement from the massive brand , means they are serious about owning a significant chunk of the electric pie . The styling is a tribute to the past but underneath is a glimpse of the future . at the three-stop series , so young and old will be enthralled with the action .
